The holiday is finally coming to an end, I guess it is time to go back and start a new semester again. My heart felt heavy leaving everything, well there have been so much bonding here and there but over all I have a great holiday, perhaps I shouldn’t feel sad about it. During the Holidays I felt so unconnected to the world, well now finally have the chance to properly get connected to the world I believe I should share my holiday stories with everyone ;)
During the holiday, my family and I went to Macau and Hong Kong. The flight from KCH to MCU takes about 3hours and 45 minutes (Air Asia), it was quite a long flight and I managed to catch a power nap and play with Sudoku while listening to my Ipod.
Upon arrival, we took a cab to the hotel: Wynn Hotel by the way. All I can say was that Macau is the Mini version of Las Vegas. When we enter the hotel, I just couldn’t believed what I saw; I was just stunned by the interior of the hotel (the FO lady is very pretty by the way =P). That time, I just stood there at the lobby with amazement, you cant blame me for that as it was my 1st time staying at 5 star hotel (hoho…the “sakai” me (>.< )). The interesting part was our room! Normally if you stay at 3 or 4 star hotel, a deluxe room will get 2 single bed that enough for 1 person but here at Wynn, you get a mini suite that have bath room as big as my own room at Indonesia and double queen size bed! Amazing rite! My mind just full of WOW! All I can think of was WOW!WOW! lol
Straight that night, I hit the casino! Lol and guess what did I do there; well I just leave it to your imagination…..
The next day, I start to explore the city of Macau. We began our journey at the central and continue walking. The people here speak Cantonese mostly than Mandarin, so tip here is don’t speak English, coz they will cheat you. Well I manage to get lost but since I have a good sense of direction, I manage to find my way back to hotel and I spent about 2 hours walking in some small streets and junction in the end finally found the hotel. Lol if you ever get lost finding your way back to hotel always look at the sun! Why? Because you need to know where the sun rise, and if your hotel is located at the direction of sun rise then you know that you have to walk towards east. I learn this when I drove and roam around my palm oil estate (manage to get lost many times ;) Hehe..
Now, let me talk a little bit about Macau special food. As you all know Macau was dominated by the Portuguese for very long time and the people here have mixed and blend the Chinese culture with the Portuguese culture creating a neo culture. SO if you come to Macau don’t forget to eat their PORTUGUESE TART!!!! And PORK BUN!!! Ok remember that!
On the 3rd day, we took a ferry to Hong Kong and it was a 50 minutes journey. The trip was kind of boring and jumpy but I am ok with sea sick as I always went fishing and prawn catching during my holidays. When we arrive at Hong Kong, we took a cab to the hotel and this time we stayed at Causeway Bay, Park Lane Hotel! It has been 10 years since I last visited Hong Kong, and that last time we also stayed at the same hotel, since the hotel was located at a very strategic location, that’s why we come back and stay at the same hotel. One thing I realize when staying at Classy hotel was that, they use a certain type of perfume or fragrance that keeps you fresh and not sleepy at all, because everyday when I was at HKG and MCU, I manage to sleep only 6-7 hours a day and not feeling exhausted. Strange ain’t it. Ok moving on…
After we manage to check-in and get into our room, quickly we put our luggage down and start to explore the famous Causeway bay! This place is well know for it’s shopping heaven by everyone. Big, Medium and Small brand can be found everywhere and surprisingly our best friend Mr. Sale is also there. I manage to get a Full set of coat for just HKG$ 1350, and also my big sis got her self a new bag from Gucci at Times Square, while my dad and mom went for Armani Exchange boutique and also my small sister manage to get her self the dress that she wanted. All I could say is, COW!!WOW!!ERR..!!SALE!! (I want to thank god for creating a shopping paradise on earth!)
During the night time, the city was lighten up, the sky scraper building that was looking dull in the morning is now flashing with lights and each individual building has it is own variation of lightings and if you are watching Hong Kong from Victoria peak, you can see that each building has it’s own characteristic. I manage to get lost tract of time and didn’t realize that it was 9 o’clock pm already; this was all because of the bright lights and the bustling streets. Even 12am, you still can find people walking around. My big bro’s friend took both of us around in his car to watch Hong Kong closely at Night. He told me that Hong Kong is not only heaven for shopping but also heaven for clubber, then we were brought to the most famous clubbing district located at Lan Kwai Fong, this place is the posh clubbing area where you will be able to meet Hong Kong artist (if you are lucky). The streets it self was filled with people who are looking for night life entertainment, you can see how lively the people here as they just grab a beer and start to dance with everyone or approach the ladies as if they know each other but the facts is both are total stranger. If you find it very packed at the bar you can always try the pub next door or opposite since every corner of Lan Kwai Fong is Pub! So ladies and gents that love to club, this is your place!!
The fourth day was the day that I have been looking for as we are going to Disney Land. We bought the ticket from the Hotel tour agent and took a cab to Disney Land which located 30minutes drive, away, out side the town. My recommendation will be taking a taxi to Disney Land as it is much faster, as for the subway it is always crowded and you have to switch train 3 times. Upon arrival, I couldn’t believe that I was so childish and I am not shy about it coz, I know when everyone go Disney Land, they forget all about their age and leaving everything behind; entering the world of Fantasy, Yesterday and Tomorrow. I manage to get on most of the rides with express line and watch two Disney parade on that day. By the end of the day we manage to enjoy our self with Disney characters such as Lilo (he is mischievous), Mickey & Mini, Donald, Goofy, and Disney’s princesses and also other characters. Finally the day conclude it self with extreme exhaustion. =)
On the fifth day, we went back to Macau and continue shopping and everyone is pretty much tired and stayed on the hotel recharging batteries. Last but not least, on the last day, we say good bye to Macau and Hong Kong with a heavy heart and telling ourselves that we will be back again someday!
